Brevard County is located on the central, east coast of Florida. It is within one hour of the Daytona Speedway, the Orlando Airport, Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and many other theme attractions. It is the home of 72 miles of beautiful white sand beaches, great restaurants, Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, The Brevard Zoo, and wonderful shopping. Brevard County is also the spring training site for the Washington Nationals Major League Baseball Team. It is the home of the Kennedy Space Center and our Nation's space shuttle launch site.
Melbourne is a major city locatedin the southern portion of Brevard County.
Nearby communities include Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Cocoa Beach, Indialantic, Merritt Island, Viera and Suntree.
Melbourne and its surrounding areas boast their many public, and numerous private, elementary and secondary schools and provide a high quality education that is consistently rated above the state average. Brevard Community College, with campuses in the north, central, and south areas of the county, along with extensions of the University of Central Florida and Rollins College, provide an outstanding educational environment. Florida Technological University has a full campus in the south end of the county. Barry University School of Law is located in Orlando, which is approximately 35 miles west of Titusville.
